The Opportunity

The Group are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the Group Financial Controller in its strategic financial planning, statutory and management reporting function and to assist the Group Retail Heads of Business

The individual will demonstrate considerable commercial experience in a fast moving and changing environment, and the ability to engage that experience to a multi-disciplinary, multi-sector group of companies.

It is envisaged the successful candidate will be CIMA/ACCA qualified 2 years’ experience in a senior finance position and managed a team of ledger clerks.

Key personal attributes to the role will be determination, and a willingness to succeed whilst motivating employees through their challenges and aspirations.

Role Responsibilities:

· Preparation of the monthly Consolidated Management Accounts

· Balance sheet reconciliations

· Support Retail Heads of Business heads with key MI / KPI’s

· Analysis of revenue and cost recognition, ensuring accuracy and reported in the correct period

· Revenue recognition including project-based costing.

· Perform the group-wide intercompany reconciliation ensuring that all balances are justified

· Liaising with multi-disciplinary finance team,, credit control, purchase ledger, payroll

· Preparation and submission of key filings: VAT Returns, PAYE submissions, R&D claims

· Statutory accounting,

· Audit, and compliance

· HMRC relationships

Job Requirements

Essential skills:

· At least 2 years PQE CIMA/ACCA or equivalent. QBE considered dependant on being able to demonstrate suitable experience.

Desirable skills:

· Xero / Sage experience

· Advanced level excel
